The latest result of this approach are three thermographic cameras, which under the name VarioCAM® HDx, enhance the VarioCAM® High Definition camera series with immediate effect. The newcomers with the label "x" conceal an additional performance variant of uncooled microbolometer cameras. It is aimed primarily at price-conscious users with universal measurement and inspection tasks. In parallel to the VarioCAM® High Definition camera series, the VarioCAM® HDx also includes the "inspect" and "research" features for handheld use as well as "head" for fixed installation in harsh industrial environments.

Thanks to the high-performance detectors in (640 × 480) IR pixels format and fast interchangeable lenses in proven Jenoptik quality, users receive high quality measurement instruments suitable for controlling technical installations, building thermography as well as applications in the field of research and development. The handheld entry-level model for less than 15,000 Euros includes numerous functional details that already co-determine the success of the VarioCAM® HD substantially. This includes the highest resolution color TFT display with 5.6" and (1,280 × 800) pixels of this device class, the light-sensitive 8 MP digital camera, the high-quality light metal housing with protection degree of up to IP67 as well as the GigE-Vision interface for camera control and data acquisition.
More than just a thermographic cameraUsers that want additional camera functions for solving their tasks, benefit from the modular concept of the camera series. With one handle, one laser range finder or one viewfinder, various options are available for individual manufacture of the models. The entire range of accessories, numerous interchangeable lenses of the IRBIS® 3 software family as well as the service by experienced engineers from InfraTec round off the VarioCAM® HDx. The end result is a highly versatile thermographic system that reliably meets the highest standards of professional users.
